Why this site exists

Every business eventually has to get rid of old drives. The equipment for doing it properly ranges from a lever punch that fits in a drawer to industrial shredders that need their own power supply, and product listings rarely explain which one suits which job. They're even less clear about the difference between hard drives and SSDs.

ABT Shop brings the options available on Amazon UK together in one place, sorted by method, with plain-English notes on what each type of tool can and can't do.

How we choose products

We shortlist products that are listed on Amazon UK and built for destroying drives or storage media, then compare them on published specifications: which media they handle, how they destroy it, how many drives they can process, and any security standard they claim. We haven't lab-tested these products ourselves. Specifications and claims come from the manufacturer or the Amazon listing, so always check the listing before you buy.
